1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Big Maths website (bigmaths.website) and mobile application ("Service"), operated by Andrell Education Ltd ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account or using our Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Big Maths is an educational maths learning platform for children aged 4-11, based on the Big Maths CLIC (Counting, Learn Its, It's Nothing New, Calculate) framework. The Service includes:
- Web portal for parent account management
- Mobile application for children's learning
- Progress tracking and reporting
- Family Voice Library for personalised encouragement
- Optional school/tutor linking features
3. Accounts
3.1 Parent/Guardian Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information
- Maintaining the security of your password
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Any child profiles you create
3.2 Child Profiles
Child profiles can only be created by a parent or guardian. By creating a child profile, you confirm that:
- You are the parent or legal guardian of the child
- You consent to the child using the Service
- The information provided is accurate
- You will supervise the child's use as appropriate for their age
4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 Free Trial
New users may access limited features including the Baseline Adventure and one Challenge Set without payment.
Important: The free trial does NOT automatically convert to a paid subscription. You will not be charged unless you actively choose to subscribe. We will never take payment without your explicit action to select a plan and complete checkout.
4.2 Subscription Plans

Prices may change with notice. Current subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price increase affecting their subscription.
4.3 Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges according to your selected plan.
4.4 Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
- After cancellation, you retain access until the end of your paid period
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Share your login credentials with others
- Create accounts for children who are not in your care
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Upload inappropriate content to voice recordings
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
- Resell or redistribute the Service
- Use automated systems to access the Service
6. Intellectual Property
The Big Maths name, logo, CLIC framework, and all content within the Service (including questions, characters, images, and audio) are owned by Andrell Education Ltd or our licensors.
Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.
Voice Recordings: You retain ownership of voice recordings you create. By uploading recordings, you grant us a license to store and play them within the Service for your child.
7. School and Tutor Access
If you share a linking code with a school or tutor:
- They may view your child's learning progress
- They may assign challenges (with your permission enabled)
- You remain the account owner and can revoke access at any time
- Schools and tutors have separate agreements with us regarding their use
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain Service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for:
- Scheduled maintenance (we will provide notice where possible)
- Emergency repairs
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 Your Statutory Rights
As a consumer, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other consumer protection legislation. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights, including:
- The right to receive services with reasonable care and skill
- The right to receive services that match any description provided
- The right to a remedy if services do not meet these standards
9.2 Service Limitations
Subject to section 9.1 and 9.3 below, and as far as the law allows:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
- Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose
- We do not guarantee specific educational outcomes, as learning depends on many factors including practice time and individual circumstances
9.3 What We Never Exclude
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Breach of your statutory rights under consumer protection law
- Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law
10. Account Termination
By You: You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon closure, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. We will provide notice unless immediate action is required to protect the Service or other users.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices.
11.1 What Counts as a Material Change
A "material change" is any change that significantly affects your rights or obligations. This includes:
- Changes to subscription prices or payment terms
- Changes to cancellation or refund policies
- New limitations on how you can use the Service
- Changes to our liability or your rights
- Changes to how we handle your data (also covered in our Privacy Policy)
11.2 How We Notify You
For material changes, we will:
- Email you at least 30 days before the changes take effect
- Clearly explain what is changing and how it affects you
- Give you the opportunity to cancel before the changes apply
Minor changes (such as fixing typos or clarifying existing terms) may be made without advance notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with any changes, you may close your account.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
